Terms & Conditions of Hire

We offer swift deliveries of aggregates and serving across Cardiff, Newport, Penarth and Vale of Glamorgan.

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully when hiring a skip/trailer or respective service from our company. By placing an order and using our services, you have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions:

1. Skip Hire Agreement:

1.1. The skip hire agreement is formed between the customer ("you" or "hirer") and our skip hire company ("we" or "us") upon placement of an order for skip hire services.

1.2. The skip provided remains the property of our company at all times.

2. Skip Delivery, Collection, and Placement:

2.1. We will endeavour to deliver and collect the skip at the agreed time and location. However, due to factors beyond our control, such as traffic conditions and access issues, we cannot guarantee exact timings.

2.2. The hirer must ensure that adequate access is provided for the delivery and collection of the skip. If we are unable to deliver or collect the skip due to insufficient access, additional charges may apply.

2.3. The hirer must provide clear instructions regarding the desired placement location for the skip. We will make reasonable efforts to comply with these instructions, but ultimate placement discretion lies with our delivery personnel.

3. Skip Usage and Prohibited Items:

3.1. The hirer is responsible for the skip during the hire period and must ensure that it is used in a reasonable and legal manner.

3.2. Prohibited items must not be placed in the skip, including but not limited to hazardous waste, chemicals, asbestos, flammable materials, liquids, batteries, tires, and electrical equipment. Disposal of such items is subject to separate regulations and WILL incur additional charges.

3.3. The hirer will be liable for any costs, damages, or fines resulting from the inclusion of prohibited items in the skip.

4.3 The following items are prohibited: Asbestos, Gas Bottles and Fire Extinguishers, Tyres, Human or Animal Faeces.

4. Skip Loading and Weight Limit:

4.1. The hirer is responsible for loading the skip safely and ensuring that the load does not exceed the skip's weight limit. Overloaded skips may be subject to additional charges.

4.2. If the skip is filled beyond its capacity, we reserve the right to remove any excess waste, at the hirer's expense, before transporting the skip.

5. Skip Hire Duration and Extension:

5.1. The standard hire period is specified upon ordering and includes a set number of days. This is normally 1 week unless agreed otherwise.  Additional charges will apply for extended hire periods.

5.2. If the hirer requires an extension of the hire period, they must notify us in advance. Extension requests are subject to availability, and additional charges may apply.
This is normally £50 per week unless agreed otherwise. Exceptions depending on location and size of skip and availability will apply.

6. Skip Damage and Liability:

6.1. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the skip during the hire period, excluding normal wear and tear.

6.2. The hirer assumes liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the skip during the hire period, excluding incidents caused by our negligence.

7. Payment and Cancellation:

7.1. Payment for skip hire services must be made in full before or upon delivery, unless otherwise agreed upon.

7.2. If the hirer wishes to cancel or reschedule the skip hire, notice must be given within a reasonable timeframe. Cancellation charges may apply.

8. Limitation of Liability:

8.1. Our liability, if any, for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising out of the skip hire or its use shall be limited to the total amount paid by the hirer for the skip hire services.

8.2. We shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or special damages arising from the skip hire.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

9.1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the skip hire shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

By hiring a skip from our company, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
